Since 2006, Good Form has been helping runners and walkers in the Greater Lansing Area and across the country move healthier and more efficiently. We are excited to announce that Altra Running will serve as the program partner for our Good Form Clinics in 2026! We spend our whole lives on the move: running, walking, skipping, trotting, and more! While these concepts are familiar to us, it can come as a surprise that we could actually be moving better. Our basic philosophy encourages a simple mantra: move light and easy. Instead of a complex bio-mechanical analysis, Good Form focuses on the simple, essential steps that enable efficient and healthy running and walking. Along with effective stretching and strengthening techniques, Good Form can benefit all ranges of runners and walkers. Altra’s footwear is built with a similar goal in mind. Their low and zero heel-to-toe drop with an anatomical footshape helps encourage more natural running and walking. Founded by passionate runners working in a run specialty store similar to Playmakers, Altra’s goal was to create something unique: a shoe that could help reduce the stress that running and walking put on the body. Lower heel-to-toe drop encourages a softer landing and a more natural posture, which allows the body to more easily absorb the impact forces that are applied to the body during activity. A wider toe box allows the toes to naturally splay, encouraging a more balanced and stable landing. Both of these features help facilitate Good Form. This partnership will help our Good Form team expand their reach to positively impact the community with increased marketing to help build awareness and additional resources to make our in-store clinics even more impactful.
