They were just two amongst thousands, anonymously making their way to the start of the Marine Corp Marathon, October 26, in Washington D.C. She’d never know that she was the sign that Joe Garcia needed. Her pink shirt with black lettering said, “Organ Donor 2008.” Garcia saw her, and he knew instantly that the decision was made. He would donate one of his kidneys to his sister.

Linda Kuhlman’s got enthusiasm. She’s got sparkle. She’s a busy woman who gets excited talking about her many interests --- from quilter and story teller, to retired kindergarten teacher, librarian, and grandmother.
Recently, the 62-year-old discovered something new --- running and walking.
